Jan Randall at the Haven Social Club in Edmonton Alberta Announcing a concert to celebrate the North American release of Jan Randall’s new CD of original songs “Good Fair World.” Appearing with Jan will be guitar virtuoso Jamie Philp and a number of special guests including opening act Neil MacDonald. “Good Fair World” is a culmination of 30 years of song writing and music composition. On a recent interview on CKUA Radio Jan explained why he was thrilled about this release- “I felt obliged somehow to the songs themselves to put this out- as well as to the music, events and people that inspired them.” Jan Randall has scored over 700 television productions in North America for the likes of Discovery Channel, NFB, and CBC. Recently he completed an episode of David Suzuki’s “Nature of Things” entitled “Gone Sideways”. Recognition includes AMPIA’s prestigious “Best Music Award” for the NFB documentary "Lost Over Burma" which was narrated by Christopher Plummer. Jan has been Musical Director and Composer for a number of major world events including the 2001 World Championships in Athletics Opening and Closing Ceremonies which was broadcast live to over four billion people. He has also worked with internationally known legends Otis Rush, Amos Garrett, Gary US Bonds ,Spencer Davis, Sha Na Na, and Bo Diddley. His credits include collaborations with megastars Mike Myers, Dame Edna, Catherine O’Hara, and Bob Newhart
