Lex Justice (Alexander Varughese) is the Singer/Songwriter/Guitarist for this sound Roots, Rock Reggae group.. Having been involved in the Canadian/American music scene for a decade, Lex has been involved in many genres. He was the founder of progressive rock groups SUGAKANE and VELA, having played hundreds of shows, opening for the likes of Sam Roberts, Collin James, Danko Jones, Andrew WK, 54–40, The Headstones, Wide Mouth Mason, Randy Bachman, Nazareth, The Cult, Quiot Riot, George Thorogood, Grady, The Tea Party, members of Soundgarden and many more.. He has also worked with producers, Stu Kirkwood (Welcome), John Wozniak (Marcy Playground) and Gordie Johnson (Big Sugar/Grady) in recording, and The Road Hammers, Coheed and Cambria, Ozzy Osbourne/Zakk Wylde, and Big Sugar in other professional settings..
Lex has given an honest contribution to the rock, and blues scene as well (as lead singer for “Jimmy and the Sleepers”), but has decided to turn to his Rastafari Gospel… Reggae Music. With the early phases finding solo and duo performances as Lex Justice, he decided to create a full band (RASPECT) setting for his Reggae music. The idea was to find the most diverse, talented and positive group of musicians who were experienced and ready. Lex’ voice in the roots has impressed many from Edmonton to Los Angeles, and has been described as ‘rich and authentic’.. Lex says, “this is the best group of talent I have ever been involved with, and I truly believe that the reggae music we showcase will be extremely energetic, soulful, and undeniable”, playing roots reggae Rastafarian original songs, and cover music from all of Reggae’s greats such as Bob Marley, Peter Tosh, Steel Pulse, Third World, UB-40, Inner Circle, Eddy Grant, Ziggy Marley, Big Sugar and many more..
