The Haven Social Club

Hailing from British Columbia, Ontario, and Germany, The Absurd Heroes was formed as each member found themselves pulled to boomtown Alberta. The band’s beginnings during spring 2008 on the southside of Edmonton quickly led to high-energy jams and a collaborative approach to writing and arranging. The band’s first recording expedition, The Allendale Sessions, produced five demos that showcase the writing, arranging, and performance talent of the band. Initial response has been extremely positive, and the band is quickly emerging as an act “to watch for” on Edmonton’s local indie scene as they embark on a full schedule of shows in Edmonton and around Alberta into the fall of 2008.
